Bike Day on the Hill is back!
Join parliamentarians, local and national leaders, and fellow cyclists in a non-partisan celebration of everyday cycling in Canada.
This year we will be highlighting cycling’s contribution to Canadian prosperity. So come out, bring your bike, bring your family and join us in sending the positive message that cycling can be for everyone!
Agenda
5:00 PM – 5:45 PM Outdoor Event (Parliament Hill lawn)
We will begin the celebration on the lawn with some greetings, a showcase of different types of bicycles, a slow bike challenge, and a massive group photo. Please bring your bicycle to this part of the event. If you have a unique kind of bike to show off, even better!
6:00 PM – 8:30 PM Reception (Valour Building – Rm 228, 151 Sparks St)
After the group photo there will be a more formal indoor reception in the Valour Building with a showcase of how cycling brings prosperity to Canada, cycling advocacy awards, and light hors d’oeuvres. Attendees MUST register in advance, via the registration page, and bring photo identification that matches their registration name in order to enter the Valour building. Reception tickets are by invitation only until Sept 19th. On this date, remaining tickets will be offered on a first come first served basis to those registered for the outdoor portion of the event.

Bike Day on the Hill 2024
The Power and Promise of E-bikes and Cargo Bikes
With the support of Senator Marty Deacon and MP Julie Dabrusin, we brought Bike Day on the Hill back to Ottawa on October 8th. This 9th edition of the event featured Canada’s first Parliamentary Slow Bike Challenge, a massive group photo and a formal reception. During the reception, remarks were provided by MPs from all federal parties, there was a showcase of e-bikes and e-cargo bikes, the presentation of national cycling advocacy awards (The Arnos), and light hors d’oeuvres.
