Treasurer (ON)
Shelley Pelkey has over 25 years of experience as a not-for-profit executive. Previous roles included CEO, Executive Director and Director of Finance with charities, foundations and member associations. As CEO of CMA New Brunswick, she played a leadership role in unifying the accounting profession with the establishment of the Chartered Professional Accountant designation. She has been formally recognized for her contribution to the Canadian accounting profession by being elected Fellow in 2007 and for her contribution to the business faculty of her alma mater, the University of New Brunswick.
She brings energy, creativity, financial acumen and a collaborative approach to her volunteer roles and has served on numerous volunteer boards in the areas of health, education, finance and community. Serving on the Board of Vélo Canada Bikes combines her passion for cycling and her dream for a more bike-friendly Canada.
