Voting Instructions

Canada Bikes has selected Helios Voting, a free open source electronic voting platform, to provide for an end-to-end auditable voting system. The fallback voting mechanism will be a manual tabulation of votes.

Helios Voting requires a Facebook, Google, or Yahoo account to authenticate and log in to vote at the AGM. If you do not have one of these accounts, please register at one of these websites prior to the AGM to setup a free account, creating or supplying a valid email address to receive your AGM ballot(s).

All members eligible to vote will receive a unique ballot via email for each resolution to be voted on as well as for the board candidate election. For each ballot received, members can vote as many times as they wish, only the last vote cast is counted by the system when voting closes.

System Requirements

While tablet computers with larger displays may work to vote at the AGM if a Wifi connection is available in the boardroom, mobile devices like smart phones will likely not work as the Helios Voting web interface currently does not show the webpage properly on smaller displays.

Voting In Person

A voting booth containing a computer with Internet access will be provided with time allocated during the AGM to vote for those attending in person. Be sure to know your Facebook, Google, or Yahoo password or have it on hand to be able to vote.

Voting Remotely

For those attending the AGM remotely, you should ensure that you have a computer with a large screen and Internet access with your Facebook, Google, or Yahoo password on hand to be able to vote during the time allocated to vote.
